White Wines
Fancy Local White. Sauvignon Blanc/Sémillion. Lemon curd, white peach, touch of minerals, tiny note of hay on the palate. Rich mouthfeel. Great gift.
Fancy White Burgundy. 100% Chardonnay. 30-year old vines. Aged 50% in new French oak. “Aromas of wildflowers, lemon zest, white fruits. Fresh and light, with good mineral energy.” —winemaker’s notes. Another great gift wine.
Holiday Crowd-Pleaser. Rich, fun nose of flowers, hay, yellow plums, citrus & soft spices. One of Julie’s favorites. Absolutely killer wine. Normally runs around $30/bottle, so great price.
Fun white. Fancy Grüner Veltliner that will wow your dinner table. Inviting, vibrant nose of stone fruit, pineapple, dried peach , then spices and long, white peppery finish. Enjoy with schnitzel, sausages, flammkucken (pizza!), roasted chicken, pork of all sorts. Yum!
Sparkling Wines
Grower Champagne. Grand Cru. Brut. 100% Chardonnay. "Heady aromas of green apple, pear, peach, citrus pith, cream, brioche dough, dried white flowers, and a pile of crushed stones." --Ian Cauble, Master Sommelier.
Grower Champagne. Blanc de Blancs = 100% Chardonnay. “Almost weightless. [This Champagne] has a delicate mousse that’s like sipping on clouds of ocean air. Mineral notes of silvery shells with the sharpness of tart green pears and limes.”
Vintage Crémant. Brioche on the nose. Flavors of citrus, apple, almonds, brioche. Great acidity. Flavorful. Delicious. Tastes like Champagne!
Red Wines
Fun WA Rhône Blend. “Grenache gives the red fruited framework and garrigue, Syrah the gamey depth and expansive mouthfeel, Mourvedre holds down the bottom with bloodied blackberry and spice." –Andrew Latta.
Amarone’s Little Sibling. Dried fruits and herbs on the nose. Smooth. Medium-bodied. Fresher fruits on the palate: dark plums, black cherries. Great acidity. Elegant. Complex. Finish returns to spicy, dried fruits. Wonderful wine.
Super Tuscan. 50% Sangiovese, 50% Merlot. Smooth, deliciously complex. Red fruits, plums, deep black cherries, spices. 2015 = epic vintage.
Fancy Right Bank Bordeaux. 85% Merlot, 15% Cab Franc. “Espresso, plum, smoke, incense, black coffee, black cherry, wet earth. Rich, ripe, lush with silky tannins.
Southern Rhône’s Crown Jewel. Super inviting nose of herbal notes, raspberries, wild strawberries, pebbles. Suberb acidity. Black raspberries, black cherries, dark plums. Long, minerally, finish. The crowd-pleaser of fine wines!
Big Party. This Spanish Tempranillo will fit the bill. Forest berries on the nose. Black cherries, black berries on the palate. Little spicy. Great acidity. Super tasty.
Go Exploring. South African red blend. Spicy red plums & cherries on the nose. Then strawberries, plums, a little pomegranate. Medium-bodied. So fun.
Dessert Wines
20 Year Tawny. “A delicate green-gold after 20 long years in seasoned oak casks. Rich, complex, perfectly balanced with notes of roasted nuts & spice.” —cellar master.
10 Year Tawny. “Harmonious and elegant. combines the freshness of the ripe fruit with the rich aromas of raisins, dates and jam.”—cellar master. Enjoy with blue cheese, roasted nuts, chocolate.
Pedro Ximenez. From a Solero started almost 100 years ago. “Crème brûlée, nuts, marmalade, and maple syrup. Huge & viscous, yet neither cloyingly sweet nor heavy.” —importer notes. Amazing.
