80% Sauvignon Blanc, 20% Semillon. White flowers, fresh grass. (You're on Kite Hill right after they mowed.) A little apple & pear on the nose. Flavors of stone fruits with a super-balanced acidity. Citrus & a touch of grapefruit on the finish. Almost has a little honeydew on the finish. And soft herbs. Great wine. Score!

Crazy blend of Chardonnay, Friulano, Ribolla Gialla, Pinot Grigio. Classic house. Nobel family. Dates back to 1800's. They make PG in the $40 range. Minerals & earth on the nose in a super inviting way. Stones, pebbles, soil. Some white flowers. Just a hint of orchard fruit. Taste is apples, earthy notes, minerals, then crunchy pears. Citrus on the finish. (Note of salinity on the finish?? Jules says yes.) Oysters, fish, roasted chicken, Raclette.

Classic blend of Mourvèdre & Cinsault from the sub-region of Bandol. Earthy, wild strawberries on the nose, touch of raspberries. Flavors = strawberry compote (but not sweet). Roasted grapefruit on the finish. Rich body for rosé. We enjoyed with a grilled sirloin steak.

Terrific blend of Roussanne 70%, Grenache Blanc 15%, Clairette Blanche 15%. White flowers on the nose with lots stone fruits & orchard fruits. Flavors of ripe apples, peach, honeydew melon, with citrus to the finish. Well-done. Elegant. For a white Rhône, it's on the lighter side (but still medium-bodied compared to most whites). Yummy, easy-drinking wine.

100% Syrah. Super inviting nose of black olives, violets, a little peppery spice, then blue- & blackberries. Darker fruit on the palate. Note of iron on the back palate. Good acidity. Super interesting wine. Sort of a mini-Croze Hermitage, just not as big. This wine is 100% French. So fun! Enjoy with paté, grilled & roasted red meats.

11 kms from the border to Slovenia = main area in Austria where SB is grown. Very herbal on the nose. Flinty, citrus, wild grasses. Flavors of citrus, lime, a little grapefruit, tart apples, minerals. Pretty full-bodied for Sauvignon Blanc. 2018! Still has a lot of life. Fun wine.

Grenache 40, Syrah 30, Mourvèdre 30. Vineyard south of CNP. Nose is incredible: garrigue, pebbles, dark raspberries & some strawberries. Flavors are amazing: add in blackberries, black cherries, dark plums + a little note of red currant on the finish. Fuller-bodied. Acidity is great — goes all the way through. This wine is a CDRV on steroids. Mini-CNP for sure!!

100% Furmint. Winemaker is in Burgenland (Austria) on the border. Elderflower, dried peach on the nose. Citrus, white plum, lime on the palate. Super long finish. Good viscosity. Acidic tarty bite on the finish. Was perfect with mushroom ragu pasta. Dreaming of scallops!!

Black & red berries, a little wild strawberry, garrigue (although they don’t have that??). Flavors are darker… black cherries, black plums, blackberries with herbal, earthy notes. That wine is on it!! Good acidity. Not super dry. More fruit. Fuller-bodied for the price. Fun to drink. Enjoyed with homemade corn tortilla, sliced flank steak, olive tapenade, red cabbage slaw.

100%Tannat. Red and black plums + the black raspberries that we gobble up on the way home from the farmers market in summer. Palate is plummy (dark plums), blackberries. Great acidity. Fresh long finish. 4 months in French barrique tames the tannins with this highly tannic grape and adds in a coffee note. Really fun wine, especially for the price. Steak!

Plums, fennel, spices, a little earth on the nose. Palate adds in cassis, blackberries, plummy goodness. Mocha joins at the end followed by a note of herbs (sage?). Acidity will hold this wine for years. Soft tannins on the finish. Delicious. Fuller-bodied but not heavy. Judicious use of oak. Winery says to enjoy with lamb medallions, eggplant parmesan, beef brisket with mushrooms, and roast filet with black olive sauce.

100% Vermentino. Unoaked, pleasant easy-drinking with lovely soft fruits and flowers on the nose. Nuance of white stone fruit on the palate with a tiny note of white melon, but it's not at all sweet. It's a beautiful, savory, minerally white that is pleasant and refreshing.

100% Cabernet. Stainless-steel aged, so no oak. Dark plums, a little blackberry, touch of smokiness on the nose. Flavors have a note of cassis with black cherries, blackberries & a tiny hint of dark chocolate. Medium-bodied. Great acidity. Fine tannins. (Great to sip or have with dinner!) And a lovely spiciness on the finish. Don't age. Drink now to 1 year. Absolutely great for the money.
