Blend of Syrah, Grenache, Rolle, Semillion, Cabernet & Cinsault from clay and limestone vineyards near Aix-en-Provence, close to the Mediterranean Sea and at the foot of the Sainte-Victoire Mountain. "The rocky bar of the Sainte-Victoire mitigates the vivacity of the Mistral."

Fuller-bodied with some depth. Lots of red fruit (strawberry field, red raspberries), white flowers, cantaloupe, citrus with a spicy note on the finish. Acidity, complexity, fruit. This winery makes $100 rosés, and this one doesn't taste that different from the fancy ones! Seriously.

Tasted blind: Very minerally. Chalky citrus nose. Blind I would have thought Petit Chablis. Taste = limestone, citrus, apple fruit, minerality (kimeragon limestone soil). Then I looked at the bottle: it's from Marigny-les-Chablis! Crazy-fun wine. Earthy, chalky, lemon-fruit. Delightful. Dinner = lighter fish. So lovely.

51% Garnacha, 31% Carignan, 12% Syrah, 6% Cab. 7 mos in oak. Red fruit, garrigue, fennel, earth (from the slate in the soil) on the nose. Jens: This is an interesting wine. You have red fruit (raspberry, strawberry, red plums) on the front palate and black fruit (blackberry) and black pepper at the end. Crushed slate on the finish. Fuller-bodied. I wouldn't age this wine much. Drink and enjoy.

Wow!! Inviting, vibrant nose of stone fruit, pineapple, dried peach. Flavors are mouthwatering: stone fruits, citrus & then spices: ginger, cardamom, with a long, white peppery, spicy finish. Great to sip. Wonderful food wine! Schnitzel, sausages, flammkucken (pizza!), roasted chicken, pork of all sorts. Winery says: roasted pork with Semmelknödel (bread dumplings), roasted chicken, turkey or goose, Fledermaus (cut of pork from the ham bone that resembles the shape of a bat), Leberkäse (baked meat loaf, served by the slice which is pan-fried before serving).

Very approachable.
