Our knowledgeable wine team is always here to share as much (or as little) as you’d like to know about the wines, winemakers and regions we’re featuring. Hope you can join us!

Our weekly tasting runs 12-3pm on Saturdays. Cost is $15. The tasting fee is waived with a purchase of any wine in the shop (not just tasting wines).

JULY 2025:

July Top Picks
Saturday, July 5 (12-3pm)

Every month Portalis owner Jens Strecker selects his favorite wines for the season, and on the first Saturday of the month, we taste a selection of those wines.

For July, we’ll taste: a white Bordeaux blend from Graves, a Vermentino from Tuscany, a Txakolina Rosé from Spain’s Basque Country, a Côtes du Rhône Villages red blend from Valréas, and a Merlot-Malbec blend from France’s Cahors region. Great wines. Hope you can join!

Cost is $15. (Fee waived with the purchase of any wine in the shop.)

July Wine Club – Pickup Tasting
Saturday, July 12 (12-3pm)

On the 2nd Saturday of every month, we taste our wine club wines for the month.

Our July Portalis EXPLORES Wine Club theme is the Loire Valley (featuring a Muscadet & a Cabernet Franc from Saumur & our Portalis FLAGSHIP Wine Club features wines from Jean-Michel Dupré, a Beaujolais producer.

This pickup tasting is for our club members to taste and learn about their wines prior to enjoying them at home. Everyone is welcome to join.

Cost for non-club members is $15. (Fee waived with the purchase of any wine in the shop.)

Wines for Burgers
Saturday, August 19 (12-3pm)

Join to taste a line-up of wines that would taste great with burgers off the grill: Surrau Vermentino (Sicily), Alois Lageder Pinot Grigio (Alto Adige), Scaia Rondinella Rosé (Veneto), Cartuxa EA Vinho Tinto (Portuguese red blend), and Milou Rouge (Vin de Pays d’Oc). Hope you can join!

Languedoc-Roussillon
Saturday, August 26 (12-3pm)

Join us for a wine tour of France’s Languedoc-Roussillon region which stretches along the Mediterranean from Montpellier to the Spanish border: Brotte Viognier, Pomerols Picpoul de Pinet (vineyards pictured along the sea), Villa des Anges Cinsault Rosé, Gerard Bertrand Kosmos Languedoc Rouge, Plaisir D'Eulalie Minervois Rouge. Fun range of wines! Hope you can join.
